According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one million Americans slip, fall, and suffer injuries yearly. Of those more than 17,000 people die annually because of these injuries. In February New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Barbara Buono, suffered minor injuries when her car was involved in an accident. She was leaving an event and being driven home by an assistant when her driver attempted to turn and collided with an oncoming car. The 59-year-old senator suffered a minor injury to her forehead.
